How To Transfer Contacts From iPhone to iPhone

No comments :
Buying a brand new phone is always a great thing. So you’ve simply got a brand new iPhone – great! But just how do you really transfer all your valuable contacts from your old iPhone to your brand-new one? Apple introduced iCloud right back in 2011 as well as its cloud solution may be used to easily transfer associates from one device to another. Should you decide don’t use iCloud, don’t worry as you possibly can constantly utilize iTunes or third-party software instead

To move connections to a brand new iPhone:

1) On your old phone, make sure you’re logged into the iCloud account and attached to WiFi. To examine if you’re logged in, go to Settings> iCloud – if the Apple and name ID are shown at the top of the page then you’re logged in and ready to get started.

2) As soon as you’re logged in, make sure the option to sync contacts is toggled on.

3) Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup and tap “Back Up now”. The duration of time this takes will depend on how much content you’re backing upwards and the rate of your Internet link.

4) Throughout the initial setup of your iPhone, you’ll be encouraged for your Apple ID details.

5) When asked to choose from a backup or set up as a new iPhone, choose “Restore from iCloud Backup”.

6) Choose the latest back-up from the record and the restore will start. The duration of time this takes varies according to your Internet connection.

7) As soon as the restore has completed, the telephone will restart and really should be prepared to utilize.

Change WiFi Password

No comments :
If you are having any doubt about your WiFi password strength. It is better to change it. You might not have cared about changing the WiFi password since it was configured for the first time years ago.

Changing the WiFi key is an essential step in keeping your data safe from hackers. So here, I will show you how to change a WiFi password.
(I assume that you are already connected to the modem)

1. Determine the router IP address.

Routers of different companies will be having different IP addresses. To find your router IP go to
Run -> cmd
In the command prompt type "ipconfig" and look for Default Gateway.

Otherwise look in the router manuel or try googling for the default IP of your router model.

Here I will provide the router IP of some of the routers.

DLink - 192.168.0.1  or  10.0.0.1
Linksys - 192.168.0.1  or  192.168.1.1
Netgear - 192.168.0.1  or  192.168.0.227
Apple - 10.0.1.1
Asus - 192.168.1.1

2. Login to the router.

After determining the router IP, open your web browser and type the IP in the address bar. Now the login page of the router will appear.
If you have never changed the default administrator name, then you can login by typing 'admin' (without the quotes) in both username and password fields (This is the commonly found default wifi router username and password).

If the admin admin combination is not working, then try Googling for the default admin password for your router model.

3. Make sure you are using WPA2 encryption

If you are using WEP encryption for your wifi, change it to WPA2. Since WEP has more vulnerability, it is easily hackable. So under the wireless security configuration section, make sure you are using WPA2 encryption.

4. Changing the WiFi password

go to advanced -> wireless security.
In the wireless configuration security section give your new wifi password in the password field. While giving the new password try to make it more complex by including combination of letters and numbers.

Now save the configuration and reboot the device.
THAT’S IT.... YOU ARE SET TO GO....

Backup Firefox Add-ons To Computer

No comments :
There are many instances we would need to backup our Firefox add-ons to our computer for offline use or offline installation. But there are not many apps available to do this job. Most of the ones available are only to save our history and bookmarks.

After a long search and reading in the internet, I was able to find an add-on which can backup the Firefox add-ons.

It is called FEBE

FEBE is a small Firefox add-on which has the ability to save our Firefox extensions / add-ons to our computer as '.xpi' format files. This '.xpi' file is the complete setup file of our Firefox add-on (Just like '.exe' file in Windows). We can use this setup file to install our Firefox add-on in a later time even without the need of an internet connection.

Here I will explain how to backup the add-ons and install them later

Backup Add-ons

Open Firefox and go to add-ons => get add-ons.

Search for FEBE and install it.

Go to Firefox Add-ons page and click on options of FEBE. There you can choose whether to backup only the extension or other things like themes, bookmarks etc....

Now go to Where To Backup tab and set the destination to save the backups.

Now go to When To Backup tab. Here you can choose whether to backup the add-ons on Firefox startup or on exit or on a scheduled time.

With this you are set to go. FEBE will backup your add-ons according to the time you have chosen for the backup for the backup process and save them as '.xpi' files in the destination that you have set earlier.

Installing .XPI File

Installing the backed up '.xpi' file in to Firefox is simple.

Just right click the '.xpi' file and select open with => Firefox

Thats it ..... Your add-on will be installed directly from your computer.

Hack WIFI Using Gerix Wifi Cracker

1 comment :
Gerix WiFi cracker is a Backtrack program to crack WiFi. The main advantage of this program is that it has a graphical user interface. So that even newbies can easily hack a WiFi without the need of any command line knowledge.

Note:- This is for educational and testing purpose only.

Things Required

Lets Start

Power on the Backtrack
Go to Applications => Backtrack => Exploitation Tools => Wireless Exploitation => WLAN Exploitation => Gerix WiFi cracker-ng.
Now the window of Gerix WiFi cracker will open.

Click on configuration.
There you will see your WiFi card name as Wlan0.
Select that and click on Enable/Disable monitor mode (this is to change the adapter to monitor mode )
Now select Mon0.
And click on re-scan networks. So that you can see all the available networks in your range.
Select the wpa/wpa2 network you want to crack.
Go to wpa tab. And click on Start Sniffing and Logging.

Now a terminal window comes up.
Keep the window running.
Click on WPA attacks button at the bottom of the page

Now click on auto load victim client button.
And type 8 in the deauthentication  button (this will disconnect the person who is currently connected to the WiFi, and force him to reconnect to the network. So that we will receive handshake)
Now we will be able to see that, WPA handshake appears at the terminal window that we got at first (the one which we kept without closing)

So, as we have got the handshake, it's time to move on to the cracking section.

You can use Gerix WiFi cracker itself for the purpose of cracking, if you are planning to do a dictionary attack. For that,
Go to crack tab
In there select wpa brute force cracking. And locate your dictionary file and start the cracking.
